Video Writer/Researcher/Producer

Specific responsibilities:
* Researching and pitching short form explanatory video
* Writing (and recording voice over when necessary)
* Generating creative ways to illustrate ideas, processes and concepts
* Filming and/or animating based off of scripts and interviews
* Gathering assets from archival sources, news wire services, and social media.
* Working both collaboratively, with writers and other video producers, and independently, depending on the video
* Working with graphic designers and video animators to make written content come to life.Skills required:
* Ability to tell complex stories in simple, understandable ways
* Talented at writing
* A willingness to experiment and to continue to improve production skills
* Experience as a visual storyteller — using either a camera, motion graphics, or animations, with some degree of experience in all three preferred
* A deep understanding of the online video landscape
* Working under short deadlines
* Strong editorial judgement Depending on the candidate, this position would be responsible for creating quick-turnaround, visually-driven 90-second videos and/or 2-4 minute longer format pieces. Social Media Specialist

  • Execute high profile strategic social advertising campaigns across multiple social networks including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and more.
  • Become an expert in Social media planning
